How to watch: Mercy Miller, No. 5 Notre Dame faces Justin Pippen, No. 10 Sierra Canyon in televised showdown
The star power will be out Friday, on and off the court, as No. 5 Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) battles No. 10 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) in a televised Golden State showdown.
Both teams jumped into the MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings this week after wins over defending CIF Open Division state champion Harvard-Westlake (Studio City).
Notre Dame is led by McDonald's All-American snub Mercy Miller, who is authoring a dominant senior campaign. The son of rapper Master P is averaging 30.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game and breaking Notre Dame's single-game scoring record earlier this season by exploding for 68 points.

Under-the-radar junior guard Angelino Mark also broke a Notre Dame single-game record earlier in the season when he recorded 20 assists during Miller's 68-point outing. Mark and promising sophomore guard Zachary White are the other key cogs in the Knights lineup.
Justin Pippen, son of Hall of Famer Scotty Pippen, has been the catalyst for Trailblazers. He's averaging 18.1 points, 5.2 assists and 4.5 rebounds per contest while recently rising to No. 60 in the updated Class of 2024 247Sports rankings.
Cal State Northridge signee Noah Williams (16.1 points and 5.9 rebounds) and three-star junior guard Bryce Cofield (16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists) have also played key roles in the Trailblazers success.
Notre Dame knocked off Harvard-Westlake 59-54 last week, before Sierra Canyon took down the Wolverines 74-48 two nights later.
Sierra Canyon comes into the anticipated clash 23-1 overall and 6-0 in Mission League play after picking up a 67-55 victory over Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.) on Wednesday.
Notre Dame is 24-0 overall and 6-0 in Mission League action after erasing a 10-point halftime deficit Wednesday against Crespi (Encino, Calif.) to escape with a 64-61 win.
