Cincinnati rises to No. 2 behind Georgia in NCAA Re-Rank 1-130
Cincinnati climbs to No. 2 and becomes the highest-ranked Group of Five team in the history of the USA TODAY Sports NCAA Re-Rank 1-130, taking advantage of the chaos caused by Iowa's stunning loss at home to Purdue.
There's still an enormous gap separating No. 1 Georgia from the rest of the field. The Bulldogs did allow two touchdowns in a game for the first time this season but had no issues beating Kentucky, which dropped six spots to No. 13.
Rounding out the top four are No. 3 Alabama, which rebounded to hand Mississippi State a 40-point loss, and No. 4 Oklahoma, which was sparked by true freshman quarterback Caleb Williams in Saturday night's win against TCU.
The Hawkeyes' 24-7 defeat to the Boilermakers causes a shakeup among the Big Ten, which still has several teams crowding near the top of the 1-130. The conference is now paced by No. 5 Michigan, followed by No. 8 Ohio State, No. 9 Iowa, No. 10 Michigan State and No. 11 Penn"
