* At 912 AM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Crystal Springs to near Rockport to near
Jayess, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

In east central Mississippi, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee and Winston. In north central Mississippi, Carroll, Grenada, Montgomery and Webster. In northeast Mississippi, Clay, Lowndes and Oktibbeha. In south central Mississippi, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence and Lincoln. In southeast Mississippi, Covington. In southwest Mississippi, Adams, Claiborne, Franklin MS and Jefferson. In west central Mississippi, Warren.

* WHEN…Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS…Flash flooding will likely occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Localized more impactful flooding could occur where the heaviest rain falls, including the potential for road closures. *
