Lenovo launches new education solutions

Lenovo has launched a new device and additional (software) services for the education sector. The 100e Chromebook offers students even more options for personalized learning. In addition, additional hard hardware and software should ensure a safer learning environment.

According to Lenovo, the new 100e Chromebook Gen 4 can take a beating. The device weighing less than one and a half kilograms has an 11.6 clamshell design and a battery life of up to 12 hours. A touchscreen can be optionally chosen. The top-loading keyboard with fully shielded keycaps is easy to maintain and resistant to spills. The reinforced ports, hinges and rubber bumpers give the device extra protection.

Sturdy inside

In addition to security on the outside, the new Chromebook , which has an Intel N-series processor, also had the necessary security measures on the inside. Users can add additional security solutions from the ThinkShield portfolio such as Absolute to track, assess and manage devices, and SentinelOne that provides AI-powered endpoint protection.

In addition, ChromeOS security offers sandboxing, secure browsing and the Google-designed Titan C security chip, along with regular automatic security updates that run in the background. For education users, Lenovo also offers Education Support, Safeware and UV printing and laser marking as options.

Software and services

Lenovo gives users access to more software solutions through Chrome Education bundles. These bundles consist of: Chrome Education Upgrade, LanSchool Classroom Management NetFilter. Lenovo's EdTech Consulting Services support schools in strategic innovation by identifying and deploying the right technologies to meet changing educational needs and focus on student outcomes.

“Teaching and learning continue to evolve with the introduction of new technologies that are transforming the classroom and workplace through new digital experiences and tools,” said Stuart King, Global Head of Education Segment, Lenovo's Intelligent Devices Group. “Lenovo is supporting teachers and students with smarter technology and tools so they can fully embrace these changes to achieve successful learning outcomes.”
