Calista Flockhart Says Harrison Ford Supports Her in 'So Many Ways' (Exclusive)

"It's a mutual thing," the 'Feud: Capote vs. The Swans' actress says about her actor husband

Calista Flockhart walked the Feud: Capote vs. The Swans red carpet solo on Tuesday night, but she tells PEOPLE her husband Harrison Ford supports her in "so many ways."

Flockhart, 59, who plays Lee Radziwill in the television series, stepped out at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City wearing a Zuhair Murad black and white floor-length dress, following the night's black and white theme.

The red carpet appearance came after Ford, 81, thanked Flockhart for her "support" in an emotional speech at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards on Jan. 14.

When asked how Ford supports her, Flockhart tells PEOPLE he does so in "so many ways," adding, "He supports me a lot. It’s a mutual thing."

Ford and Flockhart shared a glam night out together at the recent Apple TV+ Primetime Emmy Awards Party. For the event, the Supergirl alum wore a black pantsuit with a matching black sequin blazer. She finished off the look with a navy clutch and the same Buccellati earrings she wore to the award ceremony. Her husband wore a classic black tuxedo with a black tie.

The two actors aren't newbies when it comes to award show date nights. The couple began dating after meeting at the 59th Golden Globe Awards in 2002; the couple got married eight years later in 2010, after Ford proposed on a family vacation the year prior.

Before their relationship, Ford had been married twice and welcomed four kids. He later adopted Flockhart's son, Liam.

"I'm in love," Ford said of Flockhart in a 2003 interview. "Romantic love is one of the most exciting and fulfilling kinds of love and I think there is a potential for it at any stage of your life. I was not surprised that I was able to fall in love, and I wasn't surprised that I did."

Feud: Capote vs. The Swans is an anthology series' follow-up season to its debut season in 2017 — and like Bette and Joan, this story is based on a real-life drama. In the trailer dropped by FX on Wednesday, Capote (Tom Hollander) explodes his own social circle by writing an exposé on his powerful and privileged friends. The so-called society "Swans" quickly cut him off and put a target on his back.

The Ryan Murphy-produced limited series features a powerhouse cast to portray 1970s New York's elite echelon of glamorous, wealthy women, with Flockhart as Lee Radziwill, Chloë Sevigny as C.Z. Guest, Diane Lane as Nancy "Slim" Keith, Molly Ringwald as Joanne Carson, Naomi Watts as Babe Paley and Demi Moore as Ann Woodward.

The entire cast donned black and white on Tuesday night to celebrate the series, which premieres Jan. 31 on FX.
